To see what’s hiding before thine eyes, To capture what’s there but ne’er owned, Natural gifts a’plenty, so o’erlooked.

Two-by-two, tomorrow marches in rows. Their love shines like the sky, to be tested in time.

Always questions a’many, but no more than the sun. Stillness speaks in deep pale and blue. No answers are heard; only seen.

But still we listen.

State of the Renegade Address

Welcome to the “State of the Renegade” Address for November 2010. These monthly posts will give you a better sense for what updates, changes and developing projects I’ve been working on behind the scenes at DaveUrsillo.com. I call these updates the State of the Renegade Address. I value your support and feedback and I hope that you’ll offer me some constructive criticism and any suggestions you might have in the comments section below.

Remember, Remember…

The month of November was a busy month, and passed by so quickly that seeing the date “December 1” on my calendar this morning totally took me by surprise. In the October 2010 “State of the Renegade Address,” I told you I was participating for the first time in National Novel Writing Month (“NaNoWriMo”). After (literally) about a day of writing, I abandoned the project in order to focus most fully upon finishing the newly released collaborative e-book, The Happiness Catalyst.

Sometimes, to quit is to take a leap forward. I didn’t believe that I would find any true value in investing my writer’s attention to my first novel. Instead, I focused on a handful of other projects, including new e-books, branching out and networking with inspiring web personalities in the personal development and “better living” communities, and more.

“The Happiness Catalyst” E-Book

The Happiness Catalyst is a free, 88-page e-book that hopes to spark new and renewed happiness in communities across the world. It’s a very unique and inspiring collection of beautiful stories and powerful essays that will reach out to readers from all walks of life.

I created, edited and authored the free e-book along with 9 other amazing writers (Angie LaPaglia McNeill, Arvind Devalia, Jacqueline Lichtenberg, Marc Scrivener, Matt Langdon, Dan Adams, Christine Horos, Eileen Andrews, Jean Lorrah), all of whom have only met on Twitter.

Consisting of 12 unique chapters, The Happiness Catalyst is an ambitious undertaking that spans true story accounts of community uniting in the wake of devastating natural disasters; short stories on romantic love and communal spirituality; essays on taking responsibility for our lives, becoming an “everyday” leader, understanding the place of the Individual in an interconnected society; and much more.

Please download it and let me know what you think!

Most-Read Month, Ever (Again)

October 2010 was the most-read month in DaveUrsillo.com’s 16-month history. And the trend has continued into November, in big fashion. Thanks to you, this blog’s readership has grown by 42.9% in the month of November. Thank you, thank you, thank you for your readership and continued support. Over the next few months, I’m going to redouble my efforts to shatter my own mold and to challenge myself to push the limits of my writing. Here’s a list of the most popular posts during November:

  1. Relationships: How to Avoid the ‘Someone Special’ Crutch
  2. Renegade Spotlight: Kat Fowler
  3. Are You Trapped in Your Head? How to Escape Your Mind.
